Waitrose customers choose Brighton YMCA in #Community Matters award
We were grateful to receive the highest number of votes this month in Waitrose Brighton’s #Community Matters award.
We were pleasantly surprised to receive a generous cheque of £458 from our local Waitrose branch. Having been one of the charities featured by Waitrose as part of their #Community Matters initiative during November, we received the cheque just on time before Christmas.
Each time one of Waitrose’s customers placed a token in one of their three boxes featuring a charity, they took the time to consider our cause and the change our services provide to our clients’ lives. We are grateful for that and will put the money to good use.
Our Assistant Chief Executive, Elaine Madden received the cheque on behalf of our organisation.
We finish 2017 with a spring in our step.
This year we have been overwhelmed with the support from our local communities. Your financial and material contributions make a real difference to the lives of our clients.
Even more, at the end of 2017 we are thankful for our staff’s and residents’ contributions to the service we are providing. We are truly thankful for everyone’s enthusiasm and commitment.
