Our Supporters

Every year, more people decide to support our cause. Here are some of the most recent donations we have received:

Thank you to Kirsty Paterson and Friends for their kind donation of women’s hygiene products for clients across our projects. Gestures like this make such a difference!

Many thanks to Phil Butterworth who nominated us for a donation by his employer, Diversified Communications. Each year Diversified asks their employees to nominate personally meaningful organisations or causes to receive a financial gift during the holidays. The £125 received by Brighton YMCA will be used to finish landscaping the gardens at Stanley Court. The work is carried out by Stanley Court residents.

Many thanks to the Lewes Road Sainsbury’s branch for their £20 voucher donation towards Stanley Court’s Christmas celebrations! The Christmas celebration is a very popular and much appreciated event taking place yearly at Stanley Court.

Brighton YMCA have consistently benefitted from the Good Food for Good Causes initiative, which redistributes dried goods to charities in the community.

We are very grateful to St Peters’ Community Primary School for thinking about us every autum. The school donated a generous amount of food parcels from their Harvest Festival to George Williams Centre clients in Portslade.

Last September, Shawn Timmons run the Farnham pilgrim to raise money for the Bike repair group. Shawn raised £103 for the bicycle group. You can still support him in continuing to provide an innovative service to Brighton YMCA clients. Well done Shawn! You are such inspiration to us all!

We are grateful for the donations to the YMCA cause. Following the featuring of our client’s story in a YMCA-wide campaign (YMCA’s Key Appeal), our organisation has benefited from a donation of £5,000, which will be used to improve our clients’ living and support conditions.

Thank you to Martyn Jones from Link T-shirts for the quality T-shirts and accurate printing and the overall discount he applied to our order for the Brighton Half Marathon.

Thank you to Pret a Manger for the generous donation of fruit bars, nuts, iced tea and water which made for fantastic goodie bags for the Half Marathon runners and the volunteering staff.

Thank you to Hiscox for the kind donation of £250 which paid for T-Shirts for Brighton YMCA’s Half Marathon runners and support team.

We were featured in ASDA’s Chosen by you, given by us scheme. The way that the scheme works is that customers nominate charities for the scheme. In store customers voted via green tokens and Brighton YMCA got £50 as a result.
